What do I do when I have an accident?
It is always important to see your medical practitioner after an accident. Even if you do not feel sore / stiff / injured. This way there is a medical record for your health as well as the doctor being able to provide a referral for other treatment / scans / tests that might be required
Things we recommend are:
Referral to Physiotherapy
Get your claim number
Get your case managers name and personal contact number
Keep a folder with all your documents
Get receipts for everything! Medication, appointments etc and put them in the folder
How soon should I make an appointment?
Do I need a referral to come and see you?
No you don't initially. You can always come in as a private client ASAP to get fixed. We do recommend if you are wanting to put a claim in you will need a doctor referral and have it backdated to your appointment date so you will be covered.
The Physiotherapists can help put a plan of action or make recommendations to help with your care and get you moving and back to life again ASAP.
