Medicare Care Plan
Has your Doctor referred you for 5 medicare funded Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology sessions?
Find out all you need to know here!
Does Fieldwork bulk bill medicare care plans?
Unfortunately we don’t.
Our Physiotherapists Reuben and Amy accept clients who are on medicare care plans referred by a GP, however we require you to pay the gap between our clinic pricing and the rebate from Medicare. This gap ends up being $10.
Common injuries we see are:
Neck and Back Pain
Shoulder Pain
Chronic Pain
Hip and Knee Pain
What do I do when I have a care plan?
A care plan is given to you by your Doctor. It allows for 5 medicare funded sessions with health practitioners for long-term illnesses.
To book the first physiotherapy appointment in your EPC, just call our friendly front desk team and schedule an initial consultation with Reuben or Amy.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Doctor’s referral
Medicare Care Plan as given to you by your Doctor (ensure it contains the Doctor’s provider number!)
Medicare card
Bank card connected to your Medicare account
How do I claim my medicare rebate from my appointment?
Bring your medicare card!
At the end of your appointment, you will initially pay the full fee. Don’t worry! To then accept the medicare rebate, your medicare card will be swiped, your referral details will be entered, and you’ll tap your bank card (the one registered with Medicare) to claim the rebate.
Medicare immediately refunds your rebate into that account so you are not out of pocket.
If you do not have a bank card linked with medicare, we can claim the rebate online for you, however it may take a few days to be processed.
